Lusi Sheehan

The Wound Educator

Lusi is a credentialed Wound Care Clinician and has a post-graduate degree in Wound Care management from Monash University. She established innovative Wound Care and Compression clinics in WA to provide prompt care to the community in acute and chronic wound care management. Lusi is the current Education Liaison for Wounds Australia WA, and provides education for allied health professionals, universities, pharmacy organisations including PSA and the Pharmacy Guild. Lusi won the PSA Innovative Pharmacist of the Year Award in 2017 for establishing a pharmacy-led Wound & Compression Clinic, and the PSA Early Career Pharmacist of the Year Award in 2019 for development of professional services.

The Primary Closure Course is designed for pharmacists, nurses, and allied health professionals who want to build confidence and competence in 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 — from 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘀, 𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 (𝗴𝗹𝘂𝗲) 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴. This is developed for pharmacists who are currently or have completed the full scope training and require external training to practice primary closure, and is also open to all allied health professionals.
