  • Who is eligible for this course?

    This course is intended for registered pharmacists and relevant allied health professionals. Participants are responsible for ensuring the course is appropriate for their level of training and scope of practice. Health professionals are responsible for their own clinical practice and service delivery according to local policies, jurisdictional regulations, and individual scope of practice. ‘The Wound Educator’ is not liable for application of course content (online and/or workshop).

  • What is the course structure & requirements?

    The course consists of seven (7) modules, including online learning and a face-to-face OSCE workshop. Modules 1-6 (online) must be completed prior to attending Module 7 (OSCE workshop). Participants are expected to engage fully in both the online and practical components. Participants will be provided with all required learning materials and clinical supplies, including suture kits, suture needles, tissue adhesive (glue), and wound closure strips, either prior to and/or on the day of the workshop to support both pre-learning and hands-on training.

  • What will I receive on completing the course?

    A certificate of completion will be issued for each module via The Wound Educator platform. Full certification is awarded upon successful completion of all Modules 1–7 and associated assessment requirements. Certification is valid for a period of two (2) years from the date of completion. Refresher training may be offered at two-year intervals to support the maintenance of clinical competence and continuing professional development (CPD).

  • How will I be assessed?

    Participants are provided with two (2) attempts (as per ACP accreditation requirement) to successfully complete the online modules and the OSCE workshop assessment component. If unsuccessful after two attempts, an additional attempt or alternative assessment format may be offered at the discretion of The Wound Educator, and assessor(s), depending on individual circumstances. Successful completion is required for full certification.

  • What is the refund & cancellation peolicy?

    Refunds are not offered once registration is completed. If the Workshop is cancelled or rescheduled by The Wound Educator due to unforeseen circumstances, participants may choose: Refund for the Workshop component OR Transfer to new date (if available)

  • Who is responsible for my scope of practice?

    Health professionals are responsible for ensuring they maintain ongoing competence in primary closure techniques and practise within their individual scope of practice, in accordance with relevant professional standards and regulatory requirements. ‘The Wound Educator’ and partners are not liable for outcomes resulting from the use of the course and/or face to face course.
